A Testament To The Tenacity of Life

As a testament to the tenacity of life, an individual lotus can live a thousand years. Rooted in mud, the bud rises again and again from a watery bed to blossom once more in the light of a new day. It sloughs off all traces of murky slumber in the mire of it’s origins, and a hundred petals splay themselves to receive the kiss of an energy emanating from 150 million kilometers away.
